Compact
The Compact is an agreement between the voluntary and community sector and statutory organisations such as the police, the council and the local health authority about the way they work together to improve services within the community. The B&NES Compact, is one of many that has been agreed across the country with its aim to improve mutual understanding and encourage a more effective working relationship. The Codes of Good Practice give more detailed guidance on how this agreement operates in the four main areas of, Equalities, Funding, Involvement and Volunteering.
