Basic Skills Agency - The Basic Skills Agency at NIACE is committed to finding, developing and disseminating good practice in literacy, language and numeracy.
Charities Evaluation Service - trains infrastructure agencies to support the frontline with Strategic Planning, Quality, Monitoring and Evaluation. See 2009 Course Calendar. There is a travel bursary available to participants based in organisations with an annual turnover of less than £600,000.
Citizens Advice Bureau - offer a programme of training courses for advisers and specialist case workers in the areas of welfare benefits, consumer and employment law. The courses are open to all.
CS Skills Centre - a company limited by guarantee established by professionals from the voluntary sector and providing a range of training and resources for charities and trustee boards.
SKiLD Training Programme - SKiLD is a project of NAVCA (National Association for Voluntary and Community Action) and is for all local infrastructure organisations. See also their regular newsletter SKILDbites which can be found through a link on the right hand side of the page.
Open The Door - provides seminars and in-house training to help you apply access and equality standards across your organisation and develop your deaf and disabled audiences.
ACAS - Acas stands for Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service. They aim to improve organisations and working life through better employment relations. Media Trust - Media Trust works in partnership with the media industry to build effective communications for the charity and voluntary sectors. Courses from getting your organisation in the news and podcasting to getting the attention of hard to reach groups and how to review your brand strategy.
