PUBLICATIONS - there are many useful publications on Governance issues which can be found on our Publications & Documents webpages - such as:

 

GOOD GUIDE TO EMPLOYMENT - Managing and Developing People in Voluntary and Community Organisations is aimed at voluntary and community organisations that may not have a dedicated Human Resources (HR) function or where staff don’t have HR experience or training. The guide, launched by the Workforce Hub and NCVO, offers a step by step guide to help with the recruitment, management and development of staff. The book contains helpful example template policies and HR documents, which are all available to download for free click here. Writing Effective Press Releases
You must be able to get your main points on one page of A4.  Good press releases are simple – don’t communicate complexity. Good work can be boring – you have no absolute right to media coverage. Is it tempting to an editor deluged with press releases daily?
