New Support Service to be Launched from 1 July 2009!

The B&NES CVS project ends today and from 1st July our parent organisation, CVS North Wiltshire, will launch a new project  with a new name (to be confirmed following the approval of their membership).  Who We Are:  

We offer a range of services to voluntary organisations and community groups to support the development of their organisations, help them deliver their services more effectively and ensure their long term viability and sustainability.

We are a registered charity and are funded by Bath & North East Somerset Council to deliver this service in B&NES.

Membership is free and is open to all voluntary groups offering services in B&NES.

 

What We Do:

Funding Advice:

We offer funding advice to help your organisation access the funding it needs in the short and long term. Our Funding Adviser can do a tailored funding search for your group or project and support you to:

Our information services are designed to ensure you have all the facts you need to run you group:

Fortnightly e-bulletins keeping you up to date on local and national news, including updates on funding,training, events and changes in the law that could affect your group.

Website with dedicated pages on funding, training, and downloadable factsheets on all aspects of running your group.

Libraries Publications: specialist books available to hire from the Voluntary Sector Collection at Bath Central Library including Voluntary but not Amateur, Complete Fundraising Handbook and others. Can be ordered through any branch of B&NES library.

Email and Telephone Support:  Have a question about running your group? Can’t find the information you need on the website? Contact our team with your query by telephone or email & we will find out for you as soon as we can!

 

 Networking Events:

Community Lunches: These popular lunchtime meetings give   groups the chance to meet and share information about their work or project. Listen to specialist speakers on a subjects of local interest, bringing groups up to date on current issues or trends

Community Centre Network: This support network for Community Centres and Halls in and around Bath is open to volunteers, trustees and centre managers. Members can exchange information, problem solve and invite guest speakers on subjects that interest them. The network meets four times per year.

Collaborative Working Events: Specialist meetings to support organisations interested in exploring collaborative working and joint bids, or register an idea in our Collaborative Ideas Bank.

 

Signposting:

If we don’t supply the service you need, we will find our who does. We offer a signposting services to other organisations & agencies for support around governance, equalities, social enterprise, training and more.
